Members of the Foundation help support,
care for, and promote awareness
of Mitchell County's environment through the
newly built "Mitchell County Nature Center"
and its environmental education programs.
Through volunteer's time and efforts, the Mitchell
County Nature Center has been furnished with
displays, furniture and supplies.

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING? Your assistance is needed
to staff the Nature Center from 1-4 p.m. on Sundays.
Volunteer host/hostesses would greet visitors and
provide basic information on Nature Center displays
and materials. All that is needed is a desire to learn
more about nature and an orientation at the Nature
