in Denver, Colo. Ruth works for the Park Service in Denver as a graphic artist. Our major
accomplishment last year was to build a picnic shelter in our back lot in the shape of an

building up a shop and making a variety of things, mainly as gifts. Main goal: hitting the

Between family and work, life is hectic but good! Our twin boys will be 16 on June
30th and are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to drive! That's a very scary thought to
me! Our life is filled with running everywhere as the boys, Kris and David, and our 12
year old daughter Amy, are involved in lots of activities. Summer is the time for travel
soccer which my husband Mike also helps coach so we're on the go! I do the cheering from
the sidelines! I continue to work for the St. Cloud School District as the youth service
coordinator. I really love working with the junior high and high school students and
getting them involved in the community. It's been a nice fit for me. I look forward to

till March 1971. I then went to work for US West, used to be Northwestern Bell, as an

for US West. The job I hold today is customer commutation tech that entails testing &
turning up trunks & t1 facilities for all customers that have service within the US
West region. I have remote access to all US West central offices so that this job is
preformed remotely from my office in Des Moines and I never have to leave my desk. I met
my husband in Des Moines & we got marred in 1981. We have no children, just a spoiled
rotten dog & cat. We bought an older home that we are remodeling, needless to say I've
become quite the handy person. We also have rental property that keeps us busy. I collect

Can't believe we are having another reunion. So much has happened since the last one.
Our daughter Lendie, has graduated from ISU and is about to complete her second year of
teaching 5th grade in a suburb of Austin, Texas. Even with all the hours she works, she
just loves it. She teaches "the cutest kids in Texas!" Our son Greg, is a Junior
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in communications and English. He is active
in the drum line with the Marching Big Red, playing a snare drum. So far the Huskers have
taken him twice to Miami and this year to San Diego for bowl trips. GO HUSKERS! Ellen and
I have sold our business schools in Des Moines and Omaha to pursue our new challenge, a
multi-level distributorship with Wellness International Network out of Dallas, Texas.
Handling mostly energy and weight loss products, Wellness has offered us unbelievable
rewards and opportunities in only one year. We sold our home in Ankeny and moved to
Austin, Texas to kick off a new city. In just a few months we have gotten used to 75
degrees and sunshine...in the winter! We recently returned from a trip to Rome, Italy and
have plans for a cruise to the Mediterranean this fall. This is lots easier than the long
hours we used to work. Have a great time together. We'll miss ya'll!

blast! This year we have four kids in college with the fifth one entering eighth grade.
What a year it's been. Extremely busy, as you might imagine. Yes, I still look as young as
I did five years ago, which was 18. (HAHAHAHA) Anyway, God bless you all...and have a
wonderful time for me too!!!

Couldn't make it this year....this is the only reunion I've missed...usually I even
have the fun of being an MC. This year has been a little too hectic so "Hello,
everyone! Have a great time!" A few tidbits to bring you up to date: I'm still in
Virginia just outside Washington DC during the work week and in the Blue Ridge mountains
on the weekends. I became an instant Mother last year when Joe, my sixteen year old
stepson, moved in with us! He is finishing his junior year in High School this year. My
husband and I have curtailed our favorite past time----travelling lately because of Joe's
schedule and the business I started. The Millennium Group International, LLC is my
consulting firm. We provide services to Fortune 500, hi tech, associations, healthcare.
We've been in operation almost a year now. It's a goal I've been heading for this whole
decade. For those of you who knew my Mother, she passed away earlier this year and left a
whole in my heart. She supported me all through life. During high school, she made my
clothes, hauled me around before I got my driver's license, let me use the car whenever I
wanted after I got the license, helped me reach my goals, attended every band concert,
play, and event in which I was involved. She was proud of our class, knew a lot of you,
and was always thrilled to see and catch up with you. As we celebrate our thirty year
reunion, I would like to thank her for what she made possible for me in school and life.
Also--thank you to Pud, Pat, Brenda, Penney, Stan, and Sylvia for your support this year.
The things that are important get clearer as time goes on---family and good friends. Hail
class of '69!

I am living in Midlothian, Virginia, which is a suburb of Richmond, Virginia. I have
lived here for twelve years in a house I purchased when I moved here from Colorado
Springs, Colorado. I worked for the Federal Government for twenty years before leaving the
work force on disability retirement in 1994. I never dreamed that something like that
would ever happen to me! But it did. . .and I have been doing pretty well, even though I
miss some of the things that I was used to doing--like being able to travel, and work long
hours without becoming tired, and what seemed like to me--endless energy! The pace has had
to slow down for me a lot, but I have finally accepted it, and I am doing pretty well. I
never would have believed that I could be so busy at home--but guess what--I think I am
busier at times than I used to be! I have recently started to work part-time for a realtor
friend of mine, and I have done some other part-time work for an architect, so at least I
can stay current with what is going on with the outside world. Two years ago, my Dad
passed away, and my Mom left sunny Arizona to come live with me. Unfortunately, my Mom
passed away this past June, so I lost not only my best friend, but also my roommate. I
have been in a very good relationship with the same guy, Mike Mascari, for the past five
years. We have finally decided to combine households and he is moving in with me this
month. We both have been busy trying to decide what stays and what needs to be
pitched/sold. I am pleased that my new puppy--a miniature, long-haired, black and tan
Dachshund--will not be pouting any more when he leaves to go back to his place. Ha! Ha! I
can honestly say that God has been very good to me, and that He is watching over me. I
have had some rough times during the past few years, but I think I am a better person
because of them and I thank Him every day!!! If you come East or you live anywhere near
me, give me a call and maybe we can get together sometime, so that I can at least see some
of you again!! Richmond has a lot of things to see and do here and close by so give me
call if you are in the vicinity. I will truly miss not catching up with the Class of l969
personally, and I hope everyone has a great time!

Our daughter Lendie, has graduated from ISU and is about to complete her second year of

just loves it.
GO HUSKERS! Brian and
I have sold our business schools in Des Moines and Omaha to pursue our new challenge, a
multi-level distributorship with Wellness International Network out of Dallas, Texas.

To the 1969 Graduates of OHS. Hello from Idaho. Although I was a classmate for a short
time (1964-66), I am pleased to have received your reunion invitation. My memories of
school with you are fond and will remain so. During the last 30 years, I have been to

turntable and albums and remain one of the last, few democrats in the state of Idaho.
Enjoy your time together. Wish I could be there with you.

WOW, thirty years already! Where has the time gone since graduation? I'm still
pursuing my nursing career. This will be my 28th year as an RN, that's the only job I've
ever had. Nineties nursing is challenging and there's always new things to learn. I live
in Mason City with my husband Richard and my son Ryan, who is 13. Keeping up with a
TEENAGER is our full-time challenge, with Stebens Children Theater plays, sports, piano,
guitar, and school projects. Soon the driving monster will be with us as "The
Permit" is coming!

I am currently employed as the Chemical Health-Violence Prevention Coordinator for Elk
River Area Schools in Elk River, MN. It is the fastest growing district in the state and
about 15 minutes from where my husband and I live. It is the district that both of our
sons, Matthew (age 27) and Michael (age 22) graduated from. My husband is an EBD/LD
teacher for another district in the Twin Cities. For relaxation I read, quilt and kayak.
Both Glenn (my husband) and I have kayaks. No, we are not into white water kayaking - more
the placid water types - rivers and lakes around MN. We have a 5 year old granddaughter,
Alli, and a 17 month old grandson, Devon. They and their parents, Matt and Carolyn are
moving into a new home in Zimmerman sometime this summer. We are more than a little
excited. I have completed all course work for dual masters in social work (MSW)and public
health (MPH). I will receive both degrees once I finish the public health research project
I'm working on. Should be completed within the year. I have become more involved in
community groups the last few years and am enjoying the experiences. That's it for me.
Hello to everyone and hope all is going well for all of you.

30 years, my goodness, where has the time gone. The good thing is that all of you are
48 also!!!!!! I am back in Oregon. Worked at UC San Francisco for almost 3 years, then had
a job offer in Portland, so moved back into my house and am enjoying the Pacific Northwest
once more. I am working in the Executive Office of the Portland VA Medical Center for the
Deputy Chief of Staff, but alas, he retires this year, so I have to decide what to do with
the next 20 years before I retire. My daughter, Victoria, is 26 and is a home health
aid--loves working with older patients; and daughter Christa, 25, is a bank teller and a
"mommy". SO, yes--that means I am a grandma!!! Oh my, I never, ever, ever wanted
to be a grandma, but Jovani is the most beautiful boy that was ever born, and if I come to
the reunion, I will bring 8 x 10's for everyone!!! I am still very active in the community
and my church. I am enjoying living by myself and remodeling my house. I have done some
traveling over the years with my second job as Executive Director of the Western Clinical
Neurophysiology Society, but nothing beats driving 50 miles to the beautiful Oregon Coast
for rest and relaxation (and antiquing). I hope all of you are as happy as I am, and that
you look much younger than your years!!! I love giving tours of Portland and the Columbia
Gorge, so if you are out this way, stop in!!

I currently hold the Stibal record for living in the same house... 21 years! I managed
a steak house restaurant for 11 years and then owned my own restaurant for a few years.
After that I sold food and equipment to restaurants for 11 years. Now I am a food broker
for a company based out of Des Moines. When I go to meetings I can visit my 19 year old
son Eric at Iowa State. My 17 year old son Andy is now paying me back for all the things I
did as a teenager and never got caught at. My wife Kathy has recently been infected by
that golfing bug which is great. A word of advice: don't try to teach your wife how to
golf. It's much safer to hire a golf pro.

We will be married for 25 years this October. Our oldest son Nick is a computer
science major at Iowa State University and its through his help that I was able to
create the web site for our class reunion. Our daughter Allison just graduated from OCHS
this year and will be going to Iowa State. (If any of you still get the Press News you may
have seen her picture in there about 10 times this last year for band, chorus, calendar
girl, cheerleading, class president, various awards, etc.) Jordan will be a junior in high
school and plays basketball. After working as the secretary for Sacred Heart Church for 10
years, a bigger and better opportunity finally tempted me away. I am now the secretary for
the superintendent of Osage Schools. Its a great job and I love being back in
school! Dave and I try to play golf as often as we can. Actually, Dave plays as often as
he can, I play only when its warm, sunny and the time is right.

we will not be attending this 30th year reunion.

These greetings come from the DEEP SOUTH again. I am still in Chile where I continue
to write music and do some private music instruction. You may recall that when we met for
the 25th, I had just finished 20 years of teaching in the international schools of the
Dominican Republic and here in Chile. In fact, the day before that reunion was my last day
in the classroom, and I was ready to embark on this new stage of music writing. I guess
one can never be sure when making these decisions whether or not it is a wise course, but
like Frost said: I chose the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference.
I've written in several different genres: pop, choral, commercial, church music,
Latin-American. Some of these are available on CD (classmate Sonne Birdsall carries
"Equinox in Eden" at her store Critters & Beans on Main Street in Osage if
you are interested). Whoa, that commercial was in and outta there before you could even
get up for more popcorn. On the personal front, Annie, my Luther College sweetheart and
wife of twenty-something years still continues to shape young lives through teaching. Our
kids, Joshua (16-drums-soccer-scouting) and Julia (13-violin-piano-socialite-and internet
chat princess), are a joy to us and LOVE coming to Osage whenever we are able to get back
to the USA.
